I have recently had an opportunity to take the tour of Hang Tien cave located on the fringes of Phong Nha-Ke Bang National Park in Vietnam, a UNESCO World Heritage site. Here, one of the world’s largest karst geological systems is located, resulting in the region being peppered with hundreds of caves, small, large and humongous, such as Son Doong, the world’s biggest.
Hang Tien tour, outfitted by Oxalis company, that also holds the monopoly on Son Doong tours, is a 2-day, 1-night trip that includes guided trekking through the rugged jungle, camping by a remote riverside, swimming in a deepwater lagoon filled with underground water and, of course, the cave itself. In fact, there were 3 total caves visited on the tour, and here are some of the pictures.
