Little India district of Singapore is unlike any other of that prosperous city-state. Once you exit one of the MRT stations that lead you there, a cacophony of colours, scents and sights that you won’t see anywhere else on the island will immediately smack you in the face. It is almost as if you have been transported to Chennai or Bangalore, albeit on a tiny scale. To those who have never been to India, this is probably as close to it as you’d experience anywhere, but with one major distinction: it is still Singapore, it is still (relatively) clean here, prices, although among the cheapest in the country, are still high. And nobody will pay you any attention, unlike in India. These few pictures I took a few months ago depict some of the Little India inhabitants.
